FLEETWERX and Naval Postgraduate School assessment event for attritable UxS for parts delivery (AUPD)

Description

The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) Consortium for Advanced Manufacturing Research and Education (CAMRE) conducts large-scale proof-of-concept exercises designed to identify, iteratively improve, and support the transition of available commercial solutions suitable for enhancing force readiness by application of novel and emerging technologies. This project aims to allow innovators in industry, academia, and government to demonstrate their capabilities in a simulated contested logistics environment for operational validation.

The Joint Force faces significant challenges in maintaining supply chains and logistics capabilities during contested logistics operations, where traditional supply routes maybe compromised or inaccessible. A networked system of littoral and expeditionary point-of-need advanced manufacturing solutions would enable distributed production of critical components and supplies directly where they are needed, reducing vulnerability to supply chain disruptions. NPSCAMRE is seeking innovative attritable uncrewed systems (UxS) capable of transporting critical components by either/or land, sea and air at exercises such as the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) in 2026.

Objective

The solution must be at a Technical Readiness Level (TRL) 6 or above that is transportable and able to be functionally assembled in 30 days. Autonomous with remote back up solutions preferred. NPS CAMRE is seeking, but not limited, to the following categories:

1.    Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUV):

a.    Minimum payload of 30lbs

b.    Launch and recovery capabilities from vessel, dock and beach

2.    Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USV):

a.    Minimum payload of 30 lbs

b.    Launch and recovery capabilities from vessel, dock or beach

3.    Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV):

a.    Able to transit city and field (dirt, sand, gravel) terrain

b.    Minimum payload of 30lbs

4.    Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV):

a.    Minimum payload of 10lbs

b.    Launch and recovery capabilities from vessel and land
